Our 4th Annual Lost in Space Jupiter 2 Launch Party, commemorating October 16 1997, the day the Jupiter 2 left Earth for Alpha Centauri.

Promised Planet Home Page

Our investigative trip focused on exploring the primary locations where Lost in Space exterior shots were filmed for the unseen pilot and the first season episodes!  We visited two areas in the California Mojave desert.  Here's what happened, in chronological sequence.
Due to the magnitude of effort required to create this feature, we are presenting it in two separate releases, as indicated below.  Professional responsibilities have made it difficult to complete Part Two, but it will be appearing here soon.

The Beginning

This is where it all began, 36 years ago.

This year's Launch Party organizers will soon be discussing possible themes for next year's party.  One of the options we'll be studying is how we can bring original cast and classic hardware (Chariot, Jet Pack) together in this spectacular locale for The 5th Annual Launch Party!
